young leaders

rahul takes leaf out of lead india
uses the format in his talent search exercise to find good young leaders

the lead india compaign certainly seems to be leading to good governance even after it is over and in unexpected circles . first, the compaign won the grand prix lion at the cannes advertising festival ,and now it turns out that it has served as an example to those in political circles.
while TOI's compaign targeted people from non political background, rahul gandhi is using the format to find good, young leadership for the congress through a similar initiative called the talent search exercise.
rahul always laid emphasis on on including more young peoples in to the party , and it seems he is following it through this initiative . as a part of the programme , he and other young leaders in the congress are interviewing young , talented candidatesd who can contribute to the growth of party.

With the admission process at its peak in Du, DUSU activities will also begin soon and this could be a great platform to attract good student leaders, says Ashok Tanwar, president, Indian National Youth Congress. "Its true that there has been a stagnation in DUSU, with the student body not generating enough national level leadership potential, but Rahul Gandhi is very keen on the influex of capable young leaders. With that view, he has initiated the Talen t search Exercise and is personally taking interviews. The countrywide talent searc h programme will not only be aimed at inducting good leaders into students politics, but also young people who can go on to be potential national level leaders." Says Tanwar. When asked how the programme is being implemented, he replies, " It is like your Lead India campaign. A date is fixed for each state capital and interested candidates have to come with their mark shets and birth certificates. Rahul Gandhi, along with other young leaders like sandeep Dikshit, sachin pilot, myself and others. Interview them by asking relevant questions.

The candidates are being judged area-wise on the basis of their commitment, hardwork, values, teamwork, and are also asked thought provoking questions like their views on national policies.

to be updated regularly and soon..
